Mmmmm Pasta

By request of a friend today's recipe is alfredo! While I like a good red sauce, the family isn't a big fan of it. So having a good recipe for a white sauce is a must have on hand. Part of a good recipe is the ingredients. And this recipe? 4 whole ingredients.

Another good thing about pasta is that you can pair it with whatever proteins you want. We had some steak on hand that had to be cooked so that is what we did. Husband does all the grilling so he did that. He also prefers short noodles but I convinced him to accept fettuccine noodles. Bonus recipe is garlic bread!

Ingredients

- 4 Tbsp butter

- 4 cloves of garlic

- 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream

- 1 1/2 cups of parmesan

Directions

1. Mince garlic and cook with butter over a low heat. Allow to cook for 5 minutes to infuse the butter.

2. Add 1 cup of heavy cream, stir, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and add parmesan and remaining heavy cream. Stir to melt cheese. Make sure sauce is smooth.

4. Toss with veggies, pasta, whatever.

Note: If your sauce is too thick for your liking you can always add a little more heavy cream to thin it down. To thicken it back up, incase it's too thin, cook the cream for a little longer.

Bonus! Garlic bread!

Ingredients

- 1 loaf of favorite bread

- 1 stick of butter (typically 1/2 cup)

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- Johnny's garlic seasoning

Directions

1. Cut loaf in half.

2. Melt butter with garlic and seasonings.

3. Spread butter mixture over both sides of bread. (insides of loaf)

4. Place on cookie sheet and broil in oven. Make sure to not burn it!

That's about all I have really. Its a simple recipe that is delicious! Hope you all enjoy it!
