So what do you do when your husband brings home an ungodly amount of tater tots? You make tater tot casserole of course, after eating a whole bag with Dino nuggets..... Why did he bring home so many? His work offers their employees to take home some product when they make too much so this time around it was potato products. Tater tots, fries, hash browns.
Now to be honest I have never had tater tot casserole so I figured I would give it a try. There are many out there but I found one that is a bacon, ranch and cheese, and thought why not....cause bacon!
Yum Casserole
Ingredients
-16 oz sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken (10.5oz)
- 1 package of ranch powder mix (1 oz)
- 3/4 cup chopped, cooked bacon
- 2 lb bag frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Spray a 9 x 13 pan
3. In a bowl, mix sour cream, cream of chicken, ranch, bacon and cheese.
4. Fold in frozen tots and place in prepared pan.
5. Back for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly.
Note: Because bacon I say there is never enough! Also makes great left overs! Hubby said it tasted great with ketchup.
